Okay, okay, I know, I forgot

Okay, I know, I know, I said I was going to be better about keeping up with my blogging....and I haven't. No real excuses, just that I started another blog for my company so I've been getting that one going, so I've neglected this one. I guess my biggest excuse is that Mickey has finally come home! After 7 long months of him being gone for work, he is finally back home with us!
Two days after he got home last month, we jet setted over to Hawaii to spend 9 amazing days there as a family, and we celebrated his birthday over there at the same time. It was the most relaxing vacation ever! So now we are all adjusted to being together at home again and being a family!! It's the best feeling in the world.
The other big news is that we are going to the World Series in Philadelphia at the end of this week. The Phillies made it again to the WS and have invited their staff to come to the game. The only downside to this is that Sebastian will be spending his first Halloween at the World Series game. We figured we could dress him up in his pirate costume on top of his outfit for the game. What other almost 1 year old can say they've been to a WS game, right? I think he'll forgive us when he's older.
Okay, so my next post will probably be once we get back from the WS b/c I have a lot of packing and getting ready for this week before we leave on Friday.
So for now....
GO PHILLIES!!!

Makeup Session

Tonight I was able to use some of my creativity at a makeup session. My client, Kat, called me last week to see if I would be able to give her a Phantom of the Opera look for a black and white party she was attending. Now, I have to admit, I was a little nervous, b/c I typically only do makeup for traditional things like weddings, fashion shoots, photo sessions, etc. This was totally a new thing for me, but what the heck, I took the challenge.
So for the next few days, I looked online and did some research on what these masks looked like. I picked out some of the best masks I could find and I showed them to her. We narrowed them down to one look which incorporated a little bit of sheen and silver. She also decided she didn't want a traditional half mask like the typical "opera" style mask. We did an updated version with some rhinestones by the eye. It turned out great, and she really liked it.

Making some baby food

Now that Sebastian is eating more and more food, I decided maybe I should try making it myself. I haven't really priced it all out yet to see if it will really be cheaper than buying it, but I figure two things:
1. I know exactly what is going into the food
2. It's healthy veggies and other nutritious things that I should be eating too

So, tonight I made sweet potatoes. I was going to make some other recipes I had, but I ran out of food jars. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Next week will make some more!!

While I was blogging today

So this is what happens when I started blogging and gave Sebastian his puffs, even though he was right in front of me.
Guess I have to go vacuum now.

A Little bit of Catch up

So, as most of my friends know, we had a baby boy about 9 months ago. His name is Sebastian William Dane Kozack. Why so many names, you ask? Well, my husband, Mickey, and I could not agree on names. Literally, Sebastian didn't have a name until the night before we left the hospital. So here's the breakdown as to what each name means to the both of us:

Sebastian: To me, it was a beautiful saint name and it's easily said in Spanish and Englidh
To Mickey: best surf spot in Florida

William: This is probably the one name we did agree on. It's a family name on Mickey's side of the family. All the first born's have this name.

Dane: All daddy! Mickey has loved this name since he was little because it was the name of a famous Hawaiian surfer. (Can you tell there is a bit of a theme going on with Sebastian's names)

He has definitely kept me busy the last 9 months, and I can't wait to see what the future holds....

It's been a while

I know it's been a while since I've blogged. So I am going to give it my all to try and keep up with our posts this year.
My dear friend, Kelley, started this blog for me last year when I was still working in the corporate world. I know, I was a slacker, plus I was pregnant (and we know how motivated to do extra things when your pregnant is). So now, enough excuses, I am really going to do this.
